Two Pitchers Work Together As Richmond Diamonds Defeats Shockwave In Shut-Out

Richmond Diamonds 12U defeated Shockwave 8-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Makayla F induced a groundout from Olivia to finish off the game.

Richmond Diamonds 12U got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Richmond Diamonds 12U.

Richmond Diamonds 12U scored four runs in the second inning. Richmond Diamonds 12U's big inning was driven by singles by Kendall G and Lottie Mae H.

A single by Gabi in the third inning was a positive for Shockwave.

Kelly W was credited with the victory for Richmond Diamonds 12U. The righthander went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking zero. Makayla threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Bailey took the loss for Shockwave. The bulldog lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and two runs while striking out one and walking one.

Lottie Mae went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Richmond Diamonds 12U in hits. Richmond Diamonds 12U was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lottie Mae made the most plays with six.

Gabi led Shockwave with one hit in one at bats.
